KIMBERLY CORBETT (DIRECTOR/INSTRUCTOR)

Originally from Ashby, MA, Kimberly began her dance training at Tami's Dance Connection in Leominster, MA where she was a member of the nationally recognized competition team.  She also trained at The Gold School in Brockton, MA under the direction of Rennie Gold.  While a student there, she had the opportunity to study under such notable dancers as Rhee Gold, Naileh Bellinger, Kathy Kozul, Larry Sousa, Kenny Wormald, Tyce Diorio, Chris Judd, and Mia Michaels.  In 2002, Kim was a member of the U.S.A. Dance Team, representing the United States at the World Showdance Championships in Riesa, Germany.  Currently, Kim can be seen performing with the reigning World of Dance and Prelude East Coast Champions, CONcept ARTists out of Boston, MA.  Kim was also a member of the 2009 Lady Wolf Pack performing for the Arena Football2's Manchester Wolves and Rainbow Tribe: the Dance Company out of Boston, MA.  In addition, Kim is an adjudicator for such national dance competitions as Sophisticated Productions, Turn It Up Dance Challenge, Olympic Miss Dance, and Dance U.S.A.  She is a nationally sought after teacher/choreographer and has received national awards/recognition for her work.  Kim is also a Zumba certified instructor.  Leading Harvard Academy of Dance into it's 2nd year of success, Kim is thrilled to share her love of dance with the next generation of dancers.

MONIQUE DORIAN (INSTRUCTOR)

Monique Dorian has been dancing and performing for over 16 years, and teaching since 2002.  She studied dance - training in modern, jazz, hip hop, Latin/Ballroom, Salsa, ballet, and lyrical techniques - at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she attended master classes by Paul Taylor, Parsons Dance, Mark Morris, The Martha Graham Company, and more.  Monique has studied with U.S. Latin/Ballroom champions and renowned coaches Jose DeCamps, Diana MacDonald, Marianne Nicole, Edward Simon, and Chris Johnston. She continues to study in the Boston area and attends annual teacher training conventions withTremaine Dance.  Monique has performed with troupes including WIC, Tracy Varga, Hips on Fire, amd The Russell Jackson Formation Team. She is a former Amateur Open Gold Competitor and has placed in several National Dance Council of America Championship Finals in the United States.  Monique teaches all levels of dance technique to a variety of ages. She coordinated the hip hop program at The Movement Center in Acton, Massachusetts where she also taught jazz, Salsa, Latin, lyrical, and modern for 8 years. Currently her classes include Hip-hop, Lyrical, Salsa, Latin Ballroom, Yoga, Yoga/Pilates Blend, and Modern.  Monique is certified in Hatha yoga and incorporates elements of Vinyasa yoga in her yoga and Yoga/Pilates classes.

ALICIA BEYROUTEY (INSTRUCTOR)

Alicia began her dance training at the age of 4 in Fitchburg at the Dance Arts Centre.  She joined the competition team at age 11 and competed in regional and national competitions. She competed in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary and Modern. While at Nationals, she had the opportunity to study under such notable dancers as Mia Michael, Frank Hatchett, Charles Kelley, Rachelle Rak, Charles Goddartz, Gus Giordano, Bob Rizzo and Germaine Salsberg. She joined the New Olympian International Dance Team, where she performed at the St. George Goombay Festival in Bermuda in 1995, at the American Grand Theatre at EPCOT Disney World in 1996, and at the Festiva de Dansa in Cozumel, Mexico in 1998. Alicia graduated with her Bachelor’s in Business Management in 2006, and while studying for her MBA, she joined the Fitchburg State Dance Club and performed in lyrical, contemporary and modern. In 2010, she joined Jennie & Company, a local modern/contemporary dance company. She has also taken modern classes at Cornerstone Performing Arts Center and performed in their productions of A Christmas Carol, Je M’appelle Mallory and The Music Box. This year she became a Zumba Certified Instructor. Alicia is excited to join the Harvard Academy of Dance faculty this year!

LAUREN PLANT (INSTRUCTOR)

Lauren began dancing at the age of 3 at Heidi Hogan’s and Tami’s Dance Connection in Leominster, MA. From there, she continued on with Karen Brown of Dance Revelations, and at Performing Arts Theater/Paula Meola Dance and Performing Arts, under the direction of Lisa Hughes and Paula Meola, specializing in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and lyrical. Amidst her training, she performed with the Granite State Ballet, took specialized classes with Boston Ballet, and during a cheering competition, was asked to be part of the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. She has competed, performed and choreographed throughout New England in both cheer and dance, and has been teaching since 2002. Lauren currently works in Boston at Cambridge Associates, LLC, is a member of DanceWorks Boston, and is looking forward to sharing her passion of dance with the students of Harvard Academy of Dance!
